The Athena valves are the perfect spare parts to the originals because
produced with the same materials, the same specifications and tolerances.

The production techniques and the strict quality standards applied allow to obtain resistant and reliable valves, perfect even on high performance engines. The installation does not require any modification to the original distribution components.

• Titanium valve: they are forged in titanium alloy 6-2-4-2, characterized by high resistance to the most extreme temperatures.

The valves are also heat treated to achieve the best combination of hardness and toughness and ensure maximum reliability.

The coating
surface to Chrome Nitride (CrN) ensures a long wear resistance and a high durability of all parts of the engine that are in contact; while the final isotropic polishing minimizes roughness, thus reducing friction between moving parts.

• Steel valve: they are made with selected stainless steels specifically developed
for the construction of valves for endothermic engines and suitable for treatment with Black Nitride, which allows to reduce the risks of fatigue failure caused by alternating forces.

In very high temperatures, such as in the exhaust area, a nickel alloy is used which is able to withstand gas temperatures above 800 ° C. Furthermore, the surface chrome of the stems improves the quality and resistance of all these valves, used for high-end applications.
